Farewell 2011

2011 was nothing short of wonderful for me!
I student taught in the 8th grade at TCMS and made some awesome memories with my students and my supervisors.
I was able to make a quick trip to Waseca to spend a quick night with two of my dearest gal pals. That night will forever live in infamy (bathtub slumber parties rule).
I graduated from college and had an awesome party thrown for me by my parents. So many people came to celebrate with us--I am so blessed to be able to obtain an education and to be surrounded by such phenomenal people.
I spent the summer in Verm working with my best friend and many other characters at the Main St. Pub and working  for another friend at Past and Present. Working for Todd and Molly has been a definite highlight in my 25 years--again, they are a blessing.
I lived with my D&D over the summer, enjoying no rent/utilities and all of the other amenities that come with living at home.
In August, with Tlei by my side, I watched our Loylove get married to the love of her life.
I started my first teaching job, challenging myself to teach 1st grade--something completely beyond the realms of my comfort zone.
In September I turned 25, one week later I had the honor of reading a bible passage for my great friends Kyle & Britt at their wedding.
I spent many weekends with Allison on hikes and fun road trips/drives.
October 15 I was united with my dear WhoopiMan Cuddyer (thanks Human Society of the Black Hills)!
October 29 I was maid of honor to my cousin Tricia and was able to spend a weekend with my dad's ENTIRE family!
November brought many house guests and great memories--especially when I was able to host a good friend from college who is back in the States from Czech Republic for a short while.
An announcement of a future child to Pauli and Brandoni completed the excellence that was 2011!
Thank you to everyone for your unwavering support. I can only hope that 2012 is just as great!

Some days.

Some days I truly struggle to believe this is my life.
Each day I wake with a [semi] positive outlook on life. I work hard. I enjoy my job. I love my dog. Overall, I am a nice (enough) person.
Somethings that I don't enjoy, I apologize for any repetition:
boogers
untied shoes
boogers
unnecessary touching (i.e. hugs)
boogers
tattling
boogers
I love my students with all of my heart, or just shy of that amount. However, I have a new addition to my list of things that I don't enjoy: TEETH!
One student lost a tooth, hit the jackpot with the tooth fairy, and now they're all losing teeth. If I may correct myself, they are all pulling their teeth out for the cash. Each student, with the exception of one. This student is a self-proclaimed cry baby who has literally told me, "my mom treats me like a baby, that's why I cry all the time"... The kid will not, I mean will not allow anyone near her mouth to aid in the pulling of a tooth because of the pain involved. I took a photo of the latest tooth issue this student is struggling with. you can see the two baby teeth with an adult tooth coming in, full force, under it.

It took everything in me to ignore the desire to reach around and yank it out of that mouth!

Here's the deal: I haven't blogged in nearly a month. I have little to no excitement in my life currently, so I have nothing to write about. The loss of this particular tooth has been the highlight of 2012 for me. I bet you are all so jealous of my life.
